Consisting of five separate heritage spaces, this permanent exhibition project required an truly innovative design solution. 3D Creative developed more than 15 different types of multimedia experience , including themed audio devices, projected text and moving images, interactive replica science equipment, multi-channel soundscapes and specialised close circuit video elements.
The space includes the lecture theatre where Rutherford studied and the basement ‘den' where he carried out his earliest research. Multimedia devices and effects were carefully integrated with the architecture and ambience of the exhibition, to interact with and highlight the heritage spaces and artefacts.
