The visitor will explore and enjoy the bar interior - they will more than likely be taken into a nostalgia trip - lots of memories - lots of stories to share - warm fuzzy romantic memories of childhood and ‘good times'.
The design concept is developed around the theme of a 1960-70's NZ pub. Supporting the concept (and new brand) are a large collection of objects and graphics from that era. quirky quotes, sayings, facts and figures, Graphic reproductions/ real graphic-based/ printed artifacts
eg Golden Kiwi tickets, Solid Gold Hits record covers, ‘signed' 1970's rugby and celebrity photos, Archival videos - presented in authentic 1960s televisions or as slide shows on pulldown projection screens.
The menu supports the theme with good quality interpretations of the Meat Pie, Bacon and Egg Pie, Fish and Chips, Fruit Salad and Ice Cream, Pavalova,
Furniture, light fittings, surface finishes and audiovisual displays will support the theme along with themed food and drink menus, events, bar crockery and merchandise.
The new ‘Kiwi' pub experience represents the unique rich and relaxed NZ culture - a culture New Zealanders are becoming increasingly proud of and affectionate toward - a culture which is becoming more understood and appreciated around the world.
